Often it is helpful to take note of historic days, that is, days in which the course of world history changed dramatically. In fact, the assumption that there are such days is built into the warp and woof of the Christian Faith. So, on the day of Christ’s being raised from the dead, the entirety of history was changed. The last days were now present. Likewise, there is the day of Pentecost (which, weirdly, most Christians who celebrate Easter, totally forget), when the great promise of the Old Testament became a reality.
