In a recent online course that I was teaching at Southern Seminary, I mentioned the importance of teaching church history in our local churches. A student asked me “If you were to take your local church through a 6‒8 week study of church history (it can even be two 6‒8 week studies, one fall class one spring) what would you teach? How would you “design” it? What period would you cover? Are there any primary sources you would want your local church to read?”
