I recently read these words from a FB post from Dr Andrew Walker, one of my colleagues at Southern: “There is nothing glorious about writing: It is just sitting down and plodding along.” Historia ecclesiastica: e-history with a Christian dye is a reader-supported publication.
I really enjoyed this. I love to write because it helps me process my thoughts, especially in biblical and theological studies. I love writing biographies for a couple of reasons. First, it helps me focus to understand the subject, but I also love the process of wrestling with the best way to tell the story. I find it very hard work, "plodding" is a good word, but most satisfying. Thanks for your writing.
You definitely are a gifted writer! I don't know that I am gifted but once I get going, I do find it quite enjoyable. I think I like the 'telling the story' about someone best. But then again, doing the research to learn about that 'someone' is quite exhilarating too.

You are an awesome writer. I’m honored to say that I have learned many things from your writing and academic career.
Amen!
I wonder, I believe, I think all good writing is a gift from God.
And when man’s heart becomes fused with God’s heart by the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit, I see that writing takes on another dimension.
It becomes a fruit.
